Favorite Indulgent Snack

I want to discuss for a moment something that we all have. That's right... a favorite indulgent snack! It could be when you are feeling stressed, happy, sad, energetic, angry, or completely at peace...but we all have an indulgent snack. Here is mine...Paradise Bakery's Chocolate Chip Cookies. Good grief, what do they put in these things....meth? crack? What then...because I can't get enough. You know how one always come with your meal. Well I always order another one for on the side. Can you ever have too many? Undoubtedly the cashier will always say:

Cashier: "You know that these are buy one get one free right?"
Me: "Yes sir I am more than aware of that."
Cashier: "Well it's just that you already get one with your meal so then you would actually be getting THREE sir!!"
Me: "Do you work for Paradise Bakery or do you work for Jenny Craig? Now back off buddy and wrap me up thsoe cookies pronto!!! You know what, just bag the wrapping and give me those cookies STAT."

So what is your indulgent snack. What do you just love to eat? You HAVE to share. We'll be wating to hear from you..............

I am TOTALLY a stress eater!! I LOVE anything chocolate, but Rocky Road Ice Cream is my all time FAV. I do love a great choc chip cookie and at Chip & Dales shack in Animal Kingdom in Disney, they make killer cookies AND they make them into a Ice Cream Sandwich too!! So amazing. I would book a Disney trip JUST for that treat!!They also make them in the Magic Kingdom by the castle at Liberty something or other. I am so sad to say I have never had (or even heard of) your fav snack bakery. Gotta search one out when I come to Utah for convention in August!!

OK I'm finally responding, even though I already told you and really didn't even need to tell you b/c you already knew mine is Mini Eggs. I'm so thankful I raided Albertson's way before Eastter--just looking at that unopened family size bag on my counter over there makes me feel all warm and happy inside!!! :)

I totally laughed when I read this post. I used to be a Paradise Bakery chocolate cookie regular before I moved to a city that was sadly devoid of Paradise Bakeries. I flew through the Denver airport last week and had an "extended" layover. I just about died when I discovered a Paradise Bakery in the food court. I spent my entire layover thoroughly taking advantage of that small window of Paradise Bakery chocolate chip cookie goodness :-)

On a completely different note altogether, please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family...

Jaron, The news about you, Lori and Linda has shocked and saddened the Demo world. Convention will not be the same, you are a very talented and entertaining part of Convention and will be dearly missed. Good luck with your future.

Ohhhh Chocolate Chip Cookies!! Yum!!

I just heard the SU news and I'm SO SO SAD!! You are one of the brightest spots in every SU event and I can't believe that you will not be there presenting. I always made a point of going to your sessions even if I wasn't interested in the topic cuz you just make everything SO FUN!! We'll all miss you and wish you GREAT luck with your future!

I am shocked that SU! would lay off their ROCK STAR!!!! My thoughts are with you and your family. You ROCK and it is a foolish mistake letting someone with your sheer talent get away. Hang in there and know that you will be missed.

Jaron, I got laid off from my job in January, just 2 months short of 20 years. Thus, I was really bummed that I was not going to be able to attend the convention this year because unemployment isn't quite as much as needed to get by.
Now, the pain is eased a little because you and Linda won't be there, but at the same time, I am so sorry for you and your family to have to endure this. I started hitting my SU business big time and have almost done in 4 months as I did all year last year.
God never gives you more than you can handle and you guys will get through this. My prayers are with you and your family.

Jaron,
Like the others who have commented, I want to say how sorely you will be missed at Convention this year. Your terrific humor kept me rollin' in the aisles and your projects kept me excited about stamping for weeks. You and your family are in my thoughts and I wish you the best.

Jaron, You are the Rock Star of Stampin Up. When I think of Convention, Leadership or Regionals you are the one I look for. Please keep your Blog so we can keep close to you. I totally cried when I heard the news. May God so bless you. He must have something even better for you. You have touched so many hearts. My prayers are with you and your sweet family.

I found your blog through Linda's. Just wanted to offer a (((HUG))) in this difficult time. I am a SU! demo and can say you will be missed at the SU! events. So sorry they let you go. Best of luck in wherever life takes you.

Where one door closes another one opens! I am so sorry to hear about the awful news. I hope that you are able to bounce back quickly and see the light at the end of the tunnell.

We will sure miss you at convention and other SU events, but know that our hearts and prayers are with you in this tough time.

Relish the time with your little ones, they have probably missed you!

I am leaving a "thankful post" on such a very sad day as I just read much of your blog. I am thankful for you...what you have shared at convention and what you have meant to us demonstrators. I will personally miss you, your funniness and great creativity...oh yeah, your singing too:) and I am happy that you have a blog so we can continue to share in what you are doing. I pray for you and your family as you meet new adventures in life. I hope you will continue to share your love of papercrating with all of us. We will miss you TONS! God bless you and your family. God has something wonderful in mind for you or He would not have allowed this to happen. Janet in NC

Words can not express how devastated I am over the news. I can not imagine how you feel, but you are in my prayers. SU! will NEVER be the same without you and Linda. Your classes were the first on my list at those conventions where we had a choice. Jaron you are one very talented man. Shelli has made a huge mistake and it will come back to be a great downfall to the company.

Jaron-

I was totally shocked when I found out about the news today. I think my jaw hit the floor.
You are one of the top reasons I go to convention and I can't think of going and you not being there! I know you will be okay. Please know that I am thinking about you and your family. Please let us know how you are doing when you are ready.

Jaron -

Your awesome personality always made convention for me...and I know that what makes you an awesome presenter and speaker will serve you well as you go on to your next challenge. You have a huge support network in us demonstrators - gotta love the internet!

And by the way - my favorite indulgent snack is Fritz's frozen custard (a local place her in St. Peters, MO)...the S'Mores concrete, to be specific - chocolate chunks, marshmallow creme, waffle cone pieces...drool, drool! (I do get the low-fat custard though - have to make sacrifices somewhere!)

Um, chocolate chips. When I bring home a bag of chocolate chips, I need to get them into cookie form quickly!!! Once in cookie form, I'm not so tempted, but boy I can finish off a bag of those chips in just a day or two....so sad :( But, chocolates good for us, right?

Jaron, I'm so sorry to hear about your circumstances. Did you say you'd clean up my stamping room? Oh, do I need you...stat, like the cookie craving...stat! LOL! I'll bake you some Nestle Tollhouse cookies...my fav! BTW:I'll never forget the night I danced with you and friends in Palm Springs. I was alone, dying to dance, and you so graciously accepted my idea. You've always been one of my favs at SU! I'm sure the door that has opened will lead you down a wonderful path. Keep the faith, my friend.

Hahahahha - that is the funniest every!! My indulgent snack is some kind of candy - wehther it be wine gums, starburst, etc.

I'm not a huge fan of cookies or chocolate - although, I love to bake cookies with chocolate chips, I don't tend to eat them very much.

My indulgent hobby is of course stamping/scrapping/crafting - it lightens my mood with nothing to think about except being creative.

Thanks for this post - I loved it!

I am continuing to pray for you every day. I love the idea shared earlier about you creating some projects and class planners for us that we could purchase through your blog. Lots of demos do it and why not you. You are the BEST!!!I would love to buy your ideas. Please give it some thought.

My favorite sweet indulgence is Maple Nut ice cream from Superior Dairy in Hanford, CA.
They pack the ice cream into the cone and then stack the ice cream on top. It's as higher than the cone is tall....and that's the SINGLE scoop. The best thing is it's cheap-less than $3.

Jaron, you're such a trip! Can't say that I've ever heard of Paradise Bakery OR that I'd be able to eat them (I have a gluten issue...) But, thanks for sharing!

Kristin Markus said...

I'd have to say my favorite snack has gotta be a Cinnabon!

I'm sending my hugs and prayers to you and your family during this time of transition and change. I'll pray that a fantastic job opportunity comes your way quickly. I will definitely miss you at convention this summer - I was excited to introduce you to my little Jaron (he's 5 months and as cute as can be!).
Hugs!
