I want to start something new here, for my crafting friends around the globe, that I have not done on my blog before. I want to start posting a "Jaron Winder's favorite creative color cobination" and then have everyone create projects using those colors. I get so much inspiration when I see all of the amazing things people create, and to be honest I often times copy their ideas on some of my own projects. That's right I said it. I copy your awesome inspiration amd I am not ashamed of it!
Today I was at Ace Hardware and saw a color combination that I really liked. It was on a label of a new hose I bought- see inspiration really is everywhere if you look. So here is the color combination (in Stampin' Up! colors): Old Olive, Taken with Teal, and Soft Sky. I just tried it at home and I LOVE it. It just looks fresh. Now I want you all to try your hand at creating something with it. When you finish, post it on your blog and then respond to this entry so that we can all link up and take a look at it. Everyone wins, if they try. However, there are no awards yet, since well.... I am unemployed and all :) Those will have to come later!!!
Can't wait to see what you come up with!!!!!!
Your friend,
Jaron

Oh, fun!!! You know, in the picture of your fam to the left you guys are pretty much wearing this color combo ;)
I just wanted to say that I don't really know what to say - and so I hadn't yet, but I've been following your blog since you got the news from SU! and I have had you and all the rest of the SU! employees that were laid off in my thoughts and prayers. The positive attitudes of those of you with blogs who have given us an inside and personal view of all that you are going through is amazing and you are each truly inspiring. There IS a plan and sometimes we don't necessarily agree with or understand it or it's timetable, but I know it will all work out for you. Your great attitude will help others to learn that it is possible to find good in everything. Thanks for that!!
Jaron, We are going to miss you so much at Convention this year. I cannot express how sad I am that you and your family wont be there.
Ok...now I have to say what are the job prospects??? Your own stamping company? New judge on American Idol? Your very own Stamp with Jaron TV show on NBC? All of us Demo's have always thought you were a star!
I cannot wait to hear!
Excellent!! And you even used an old "retired" color that I LOVE!! MUST try this!!
I'll definitely be keeping an eye on your blog AND on what amazing things lie ahead for you . . . I know (as so many of us do) that you will be AWESOME at whatever you do (we just hope it's not working for the competition!!)! Here's sending good thoughts and wishes that something FABULOUS comes up for you VERY soon!
Hugs to you and your family . . . :)
Ooo, sounds fun! I have a busy weekend ahead full of soccer games, Standards night, sharing time, and a primary activity I'm in charge of tonight but I will try to get something done and post within a few days!
And I agree with Dana...I would totally watch a "stamp with Jaron" show! Educational AND entertaining...can't beat that!
Jaron....you should put Mr. Linky on your blog, so everyone can add their cards. (so easy to use)
How fun! Thanks for the inspiration this morning. I love these three colors together. Here's a link to my card.
What a great idea Jaron! Here's what I came up with.

I have to admit, when I read your color choices I thought you had lost your mind....then I tried them! How stinkin' cool are they together?!! I LOVE these colors together and promise to never, ever, ever question your mental status again! ;o)
You can find my card here: http://createwithangie.blogspot.com/2009/04/jarons-color-combination-challenge-1.html and I look forward to the next color combo! :o) Thanks for the challenge....I needed it today! :oD
good colors--and since i have only 36 hours before my big trip--we'll just have to imagine that i made a card. you know what it would look like anyway (totally over the top w/lots of glitter).
have a good week!
Oh, how I love challenges! I went to work on it as soon as I came back home yesterday. I love blues and greens together so I thought it would be so easy. Yeah... Not so much. I did manage to get the thing finished, though. I hope you like it!

I really look forward to see what YOU will come up with!
On a side note, you mentioned not being able to offer prizes right now, but I just wanted to mention that a Jaron Original would be a very prized possession for anyone... I can just picture having one in my living room. Carefully placed under a protective glass. Maybe I could even charge a fee to let people in to see it. Of course, they would be allowed to look, but not touch. Big no-no.
Just a little something to keep in mind. ;D
Have a fabulous weekend!

Hi Jaron,
I had the pleasure of meeting you at convention last year and will miss you this year! As I'm sure you know, you and your family (along with so many others caught in the difficult economic times of our country) are in alot of prayers :)
Well, I just had to try your color challenge although I have never done a challenge before (and if you see my card, you will know why-lol).
So, here it is . . . http://bethstampedit.blogspot.com/2009/04/jarons-color-challenge.html

Sounds like things are going well, and it's good to hear. (By the way....we hung out in the Orlando airport this past Leadership for a few mins before those horendous early flights we all had...I was with Max. Just FYI. :) ) So glad you did a color challenge! Thanks! :) Although I was NOT sure what these colors would look like together! After playing with them...love them! :) So thanks! Here is what I did... http://designwithink.blogspot.com/2009/04/jarons-color-challenge-1.html
You are one positive guy! I can't wait to hear the fun news of whatever new adventure you take!
I am so glad you've issued this challenge. I had so much fun last night just STAMPING!!! You rock Jaron!!

I think DIY needs to hire you to do a "Stamping with Jaron" show...DAILY. I'm certain it would be a HIT!!!

i do not blog - but what a GREAT comment/observation - inspiration can be everywhere - from clothes labels, to advertising layouts, to magazines - from fonts to color choices - Just like in life: it is all there if we can open our eyes/hearts to the possibility.
Hope you have a super fun weekend.
This is my very first color challenge. It was fun and it got me to actually stamp. I've been in a funk lately and haven't had any desire to stamp or create. So thanks, Jaron, for helping me get on the ball !!
Here's a link to my card. Hope you like it:

Second, thanks for the challenge. I had a lot of fun with it. I forgot how much I loved Soft Sky. I also agree with Cindy, that I would take a Jaron Original any day!
Here's a link to my card. Enjoy!

Now I'm off to look at everyone else's ideas! Thanks for doing this challenge, Jaron!
Well Jaron, I am so sorry to hear about your being laid off with SU. I have been a 'jobless' statistic since November. SU isn't a full time job for me yet. I too have found the positive and unfortunate negative things that go with being unemployed. Good luck with the job search.
I really think you should have your own TV show- I'm serious! We'd all watch and make our husbands watch, too. Great color combo- I'll give it a try...
Yesterday I went to a SU! training meeting from upline and there was a general consesus expressed of "we miss Jaron!"
Good luck with the hob hunt (and think about the show!):)
Roberta "Rubberta" (I have to be a stamper because rubber's in my name!)
and I'll work on my poor typing in the meantime.."Job" hunt!
Hey, Jaron. I found your blog by following a comment and link on Lydia's blog (Understand Blue). I had no idea, and I am shocked, that you were laid off from SU! I have been a demonstrator since August 2005 and attended two regionals, in Cincinnati and in Louisville. YOU are the person I remember most and associate most with SU! because of your demonstrations at those Regionals and on the training videos. Your enthusiasm is infectious and you always did an exceptional job. I knew from what you had said that you had a family, but it is nice to see the photos on your blog. I have bookmarked your blog and will visit again to see how things are going. Your attitude is super and I'm confident you will bounce back soon. Enjoy the time off and keep up the good work! TFS!
Great color combination Jaron - you can see mine here

I am glad that you are finding small rays of sunshine. Until reading your blog, I thought that you and Linda had left as an agreement with SU! I really feel they made a huge mistake because you are a face that ALL DEMOS know and look forward to seeing. I am not going to convention this year, due to no $$$, however I am kinda glad because a favorite demonstrator won't be there. Good luck and I look forward to your updates.
A "Jaron Winder Original"?! FABULOUS idea!!! I would gladly accept that and it WOULD be a prized possession! :o)
Jaron, this is a great idea! I love the color combo. You can find my interpretation of it at www.eatsleepstamp.com
Thanks for inspiring us!
Christine
Hi Jaron,
Thanks for starting this color challenge. I will do my best to come back and play often.
Here's my card. The circumstance for which I made this card is an unfortunate one, but I thank you for providing that last bit of inspiration I needed to get it done.
And along with the "Praying for You..." theme, you and your family continue to be in my thoughts and prayers, along with everyone else affected by Stampin' Up!'s layoffs. Your positive attitude and humor are so refreshing!
HUGS!
Kelly
I actually did this on Sunday, but didn't get around to posting on my blog 'til last night, so I guess better late than never, right?? LOVE these colors together, although I kinda ran amok with the card!! Thanks, Jaron! I look forward to playing often . . . :)
My Triple Play Card

jaron! my stamp room hasn't been unpacked and organized yet, so I'm going to have to wait for your next challenge. I can't wait!
it was great to see you today. good luck tomorrow and see you next week!
Hey Jaron...just wondering if you would ever consider posting to your blog one of your show stopping perfermances. We won't get to see you at convention this year and I always look forward to your singing. You are ubber talented and so fun to watch! I know that we would all wave our lights in appreciation. Just a thought. You will be missed but it is so clear that your creativity will continue in another capacity. God bless you on this journey!
Hi Jaron,
This year will be my first Convention so I never had the privilege of meeting you. However, I love all your training videos! Here is my submission for your first color challenge! It was a fun combo!

I think that it is nice that you can have that kind of inspiration. There are work that pick your attention.
