My First Uppercase Living Project

I have official finished my first Uppercase Living project and I am happy to announce that it took me about 3 minutes to complete. Honest Pete, it really only took that long. I wanted to put some awesome welcome vinyl on the front door of our home. So here is a picture of my first project:

I am absolutely a color match freak when it comes to decorating in our house. So imagine how happy I was that with Uppercase Living vinyl I can customize not just the fonts, but also the COLOR that I needed from one of 34 colors. Crazy! I chose the color Warm Stone because I wanted it to match perfectly to the colored stucco around the door frame. Putting it on was a breeze because this vinyl had line guides on all sides to help me line it up straight and centered- hence why it took me all of three minutes to complete this. Next I think I will try their customizable vinyl and put "except solicitors" under the welcome!!! Take that cable guy! :)
Can't wait to enjoy the weekend with the family....
Your Friend,
Jaron

Jaron, I'm an SU demonstrator and while I will ALWAYS be an SU demo., I also have a love for UL!! I love the vinyl that SU has to offer, but I have to admit, I'm kind of in love with creating my own expressions through UL. It's super easy and usually not expensive at all. I find that I make a lot of the projects that are featured in the UL catalogs. Currently, I'm doing the "Faith" sign, but with my children's names so they will have really cool name signs for their bedroom doors. I lvoe it!! (Combine that with DSP from SU---perfect!!) Glad to hear you're with another great company that will benefit from your wonderful creative mind! :)

oh man, UL is something i'm afraid to let myself get into because i don't know if i'll be able to stop... one thing i don't need is another expensive crafty-interest! (also why i don't let myself get too near to beads!)
but i like what you did with your door, there... i'm a big fan of customization, so i love anything that makes something that much more "yours". please continue to share!

(p.s: i just recently started reading your blog, and this is my first comment... i'd just like to say i think you rock! [i've seen you at some SU events, is how i know!] )

I have UL all over my house!! Sorry to say I don't buy SU vinyls because I like UL better. I have about 7-8 vinyls up; have the black frame with i believe 4 acrylic windows. Wish you were possibly a demo and I would just order from you!!!! I will miss you at the SU events; it was an honor to meet you a couple of times.

hahaha, if I were you, I just wouldn't bother adding the next line: sollicitors always choose to ignore it!

Have a great weekend!

Congratulations Jaron!! Uppercase has a wonderful product and will only be better with you there! THEY are getting a gem! I am still sad you are not with SU anymore.....

For the first time in 6 years I am not going to Convention and the first time in 5 years, I will not earn the incentive trip....sigh....it's not the end of the world, I suppose.

Looking forward to seeing where Uppercase takes you!

Miss you,

Lisa Schmid!

Jaron, we will miss you so much at convention this year. I can't imagine an SU event with YOU. Your absence will be noticed. Almost every class or camp I've done in the past few years have been inspired by things you've shared. Much luck in your new job!

I am so happy for you! I love UL. I have many of their sayings all over my house. I loved UL before SU started selling it. I love how you can customize it! Good-luck! They are lucky to have you!

Jaron, I loved your time with SU, but I am familiar w/ UL too. While it simply doesn't work in old midwestern farmhouses w/ textured walls, I know 'it's good stuff' and they are blessed to have you! I wish SU would stick to what they know best! Get outta vinyl!

So, I just found your blog today after reading about you on the SU! website. (I'm a demo and saw something on an unrelated post about an "all about me" scrapbook that you did awhile back) Anyway, I was sad to hear that you are no longer with SU! but I'm so glad that you already have a terrific new job. Congrats! I always enjoyed your tutorials. You will certainly missed. I read through a few of your posts, you are too funny! What a beautiful family you have! Many blessings to each of you!

Jaron, I'm sure your creativity, enthusiasm, unique humor, and uplifting personality will be an asset to your new employer. I've enjoyed ALL the presentations you'e given and projects you've shared over the years at SU conventions and regionals (GO ORLANDO!!!) May I encourage you and the blog followers to always be positive, about the past and the future. It saddens me when someone or something is spoken of derisively. Every one has hard times, difficult circumstances. Please continue to stay above the fray, so to speak. It may not be the motto of your current emloyer, but please continue to "share creativity and make worthwhile differences."

Congratulations on your new job. I, too, was briefly a UCL demo but when SU came out with the vinyl, I had to make a choice. And I was blessed to have a choice. I am loyal to SU but think UCL has a wonderful product and you will be a wonderful assest to their team. What will you be doing there? Will miss you at convention this year.
