Yesterday we were sitting in church and Sophie was itching her arm like crazy down on the inside of her arm by her elbow. She gets a bit of eczema there and it itches terribly when she does. I immediately pulled out some lotion from our bag and put it on my little one's arm. She said it still itched so I had her bend her arm and pull it up to her chest so the inside of the arm was shut (does that even make sense, good grief?)
In a very loud voice Sophie says:
"Hey Dad, Look! My arm looks just like a bum."
Then she starts pinching her arm like a grandma would pinch a grandchilds cheek and says loudly:
"Oh you cute little bum, you are just a cutie pie."
How can she not know that she is so dang funny????

Poor Spohie! That is really funny though.
Uh-oh, don't give her the camera. I can't tell you how many "bum" pictures we have taken over the years using our arm crack.
Thanks for sharing such a cute story!

Sorry about the itchies, but how did I get this far in life without ever noticing that, indeed, the elbw bend does look like a bum? Thanks for that education!!! :)
That is hilarious!! She is such a funny girl :)

Lordy, I'm envisioning all these folks baring their arms and checking it out! I know I did! She's too cute. ~chris
She's so funny! Are you writing all these funny things down so you can give her a journal later on in life...like at her wedding?! That would be so funny!
Thanks for the chuckle.

Gotta love children!!! They say the cutest things that you can pull from your memory when you need a smile.
So cute! I'm still trying to figure out what the Heck my kids are sayin'!
I'm glad to hear things are going well for you...and I hope you don't mind if I peak at your blog once in a while :)
Hi Jaron,
That's so cute! I was going to tell my kids that "trick" after seeing it here but probably not a good idea lol! Hey, with the eczema try wrapping a wet wash cloth or tea towel fairly snuggly around the area next time it gets itchy - it really works. It takes all the heat out.
